This recipe for guacamole is great with chips or as an addition to a sandwich. Avocados are low in saturated fat with more potassium than bananas while rich in vitamins B, E and K.
2 ripe avocados
1 -2 lemons (about 3 tbsp fresh juice)
2 tsp sea salt
1-2 cloves garlic (garlic press is best but otherwise mince)
Use a large glass bowl (stainless may discolor avocados). Add ingredients and mash. Add some fresh pepper and don’t be afraid to add a little more salt or lemon juice to taste. Sometimes I’ll add some chopped onion or minced chili pepper but the simplicity of a few ingredients really makes the avocados shine.
