Crowie and Steffen Rule Melbourne

Craig Alexander proved he is on track to retain his crown with solid win with his first time in the 7’s at Ironman Asia-Pacific Championship in Melbourne (7:57:44) with Cam Brown less than 3 minutes back. Frederick Van Lierde rounded out the top 3 with Enecko Llanos in hot pursuit for 4th.

Caroline Steffen’s powerful and record breaking bike attack (4:35:29) had her coming into T2 with the 2nd group of men. She pounded out a personal best run by 4.5 minutes for a commanding win — 11:18 over her closest pursuer Rachel Joyce and nearly 30 minutes over Kona runner-up Mirinda Carfrae.
