Blachford & Gambles Take Boulder

Brit Liz Blatchford wins her own Olympics in Colorado in the Boulder 70.3 on Sunday. After being passed over by the British Olympic team, who chose to take domestiques to support Helen Jenkins, Blatchford made the switch to non-drafting racing and will be someone the competitors cannot ignore as she will always be charging for the win. Melissa Hauschildt took 2nd and Leanda Cave was less than a minute behind in 3rd.

Boulder summer resident Aussie Joe Gambles was able to cruise to a win after T2 in excellent form as he builds toward Kona. Americans Jordan Jones and Ben Hoffman had a closer race, although several minutes behind Gambles.
