Sprint Finish in Galway

Terrenzo Bozzone put in a stellar performance at Galway 70.3 to finish just 1 second behind Jan Van Berkel in a sprint finish and final tune-up before the Ironman 70.3 Worlds this coming weekend. Last years winner Mike Aigroz was not in contention for a top podium spot, but hung on nicely for third. On the women’s side, Eimear Mullan proved to have a little more work to do on the bike with Tine Deckers crushing it nearly 12 minutes faster than Mullan and crusing to a solid win with almost 20 minutes to spare.   Deckers won Ironman France in course-record style earlier this summer and with Galway as her tune-up, she should show strongly in Kona and have a solid placing in Vegas.
